With your first meal you also had water for the first time. You made the funniest face! You let the water fall right off your mouth after you tasted it. Your look said it all “YUCK! What is THIS?”

We went to a Brazilian bbq restaurant with Nonna, Pappa and friends for dinner. You arrived asleep in the carseat since it was really close to your bed time, stayed asleep for a while, woke up, looked around for about 10 minutes without making a sound and went back to sleep until we were paying the bill. You cried a bit, we got you out, paid and got you back in the carseat and you went back to sleep in the car. That was an easy outing!

You slept from 9:20 pm to 5:20 am straight, in the portable crib in your room, despite having a stuffy nose. We were amazed!

When you are playing with a toy and you can’t quite get it in your mouth, you sure let the toy (and us) know that you are frustrated by yelling very loudly.

Today you flipped from your back to your belly for the first time all by yourself. Mamae saw it, I just missed it.

Mamae said “its time for eric to sleep.”
So I put you in the bugaboo, put a paci in your mouth and a blanket on you, and without a single fuss, you feel asleep. We are both amazed.

Today was a beautiful day, sunny, perfect blue sky, not one cloud to be seen, 21 celsius. You were having a hard time staying asleep anywhere but in my arms so I took you for a long stroller ride to see if you would fall asleep. You didn’t, you were way too interested on everything moving around you and stayed awake the whole 30 minutes. In the end you were close to falling asleep but I didn’t want to keep going around the block again.

Since we got back from Brazil you have really enjoyed playing in your gymini. You bat at the toys, grab them, roll to your side to put the lower ones in your mouth, you can stay there a good half an hour before getting frustrated that you can’t put the high ones in your mouth 😉

You have been sucking on your thumb for short periods of time. I was preparing lunch and had you in a little rocker crib in the kitchen so we could see each other. You were sleepy and upset, wanted me to get you out of there. Since I couldn’t, you found a way to soothe yourself: by sucking on your thumb. You fell asleep like that, we were impressed. Daddy took a picture, so cute.

You did even better on your flight back home. You slept/nursed almost the entire time and in the short time you were awake you were smiling away to the lady sitting across from us. She said you were awesome for being quiet and happy the whole time, and I agree.
