Eu quero o pito

This past night you woke up around 1 am screaming histerically “eu quero o pito” (I want the “pito”) which nobody knew what it was. We tried giving you water, asked if you want cheerio, but nothing worked. You screamed for who knows how long and finally went back to sleep. This morning you showed us what “pito” is. A blanket!

You know which diaper you like

We bought some diapers in Brazil last July. Two different brands, and both of them gave you a mild rash, itchy. We got back to the US, were at Nonna’s. Daddy asked for me to get you a diaper after the shower but found a Brazilian one and decided to use it. When I got into the room holding the American diaper, you saw it and started crying. Then you got up to grab the diaper I had put on top of the table and asked us to change you. I asked “don’t you like this diaper?” (Pointing to the Brazilian diaper) and you said “no”. And I asked “do you like this one?” (Pointing to the American one) and you said “yes”. We were shocked you knew which one was which!

Spelling

You started trying to spell over the summer. You see a word and you start pointing to the letters and trying to guess the sounds. Funny thing: one of sounds is “ack”. And you try to sing the alphabet song too.

Knock knock joke

You invited Daddy to say a Knock knock joke today at dinner. You started with “knock knock” and said “banana” and waited for Daddy to continue.

Swim or swedish diaper?

We are in Stockholm, we ran out of US diapers and bought a local brand.

Daddy was changing your diaper and put one of the new ones on you.

You said “agua!” because the new diaper is a pullup and the only pullup diaper you wear is a swim diaper. 🙂

More

Every time you see something you like you say”more”, meaning you want to see more of that same thing. So, you see a dog on the street and you say more, wanting to see other dogs. You see a bird, and you say more wanting to see other birds…

Loving to swim

You are crazy about the water, you want to dive, to swim like Julia, to jump head first into the pool. That means we can’t blink or you are doing any of those things, I’ve caught you mid air through your belly right before you went head first into the water, with your mouth wide open…
