You crawl everywhere in the house, and pretty fast too. Since your hands are on the floor while crawling, you can’t use them to carry toys, so you put them on your mouth to hold them from one place to another.

You were standing holding onto the center table in the family room. Julia was eating her snack and watching TV. You tried to grab her food and she pushed you away. You hit your chin hard on the table and then fell on your back on the floor, hitting your head. You cried very hard for a while. I watched the whole thing and held you right away, I thought for sure you broke a tooth or the like, but you seem fine. We told Julia she can’t ever push you, she was pretty upset and apologized to you.

I was eating a sandwich during Julia’s party and you wanted to have it – opened your mouth, pulled my hand with the sandwich towards your mouth, so I let you have it. You loved it, it was a turkey and cheese sandwich, and you ate about half of it (1/4 of the regular slice, so very small already). Soon you will be eating table food and not baby food anymore!

We were in bed this morning and you started clapping. We sang Parabéns pra você and you clapped the whole song, so happy! If someone claps with you though, you stop and try to hold their hands to clap with them.

You seem to have caught the same cold your Daddy has. I think I have caught it as well. You are pretty miserable in your sleep right now, crying while sleeping. I was holding you in the rocking chair for a while, and you were crying and crying without waking up, making stuffy noises sounds with your stuffy nose. Poor baby!

You have been wanting to sit for a couple of weeks and we have been practicing it. I get you to sit down in front of me and hold you with my legs, between my knees, just to give you some support. Today you were able to balance by yourself for a few minutes while chewing on your purple elephant. Then you decided to grab a toy to your far right and I had to catch you 😉

You were taking a nap today, and when you woke up, you had this giant bloody scratch on the side of your face, between your eye and your ear. Scary!

Santa brought you a stuffed dinosaur, and you actually held it with both hands and tried to mouth it for quite a while (and yes, you were able to put it in your mouth). You have been playing with this dinosaur since then. I guess you are going to love your toys and gymini back home when we return in January.

You spent the day before Christmas and Christmas Eve wearing just a diaper because it was so hot. You had your first dip into a pool earlier in the day, but you didn’t like it very much, my guess is the water was too cold for you. We dressed you only for some quick photos, but you were too hot so I took them off as soon as we were done.

You slept 7hs straight this past night, your new record!
